Moore Stephens Foundation

November 2010 sees the launch of the Moore Stephens Foundation

The Moore Stephens Foundation is an initiative of the Moore Stephens Australia network. It has been created with the aim of making a positive and lasting difference to less privileged communities throughout the world.

By concentrating on projects such as 'micro financing', the foundation seeks to provide communities with the tools and support they need to become more self sufficient.

In doing so it is envisaged that the foundation will unite the staff and partners of the Moore Stephens Australia network in working towards a common goal. Such involvement is aimed at not only increasing engagement throughout the network but also across the community as a whole.


Key Objectives of the Foundation

In establishing the foundation a number of key objectives have been established in line with the following:

• Make a positive and lasting difference within less privileged
  communities throughout the world
• Support initiatives that allow such communities to become
  more self sufficient
• Involve and engage staff and clients throughout the Moore Stephens Australia network in support of worthwhile community activities

How will these objectives be achieved?

The key objectives of the foundation will be met by:

• Supporting and funding community based organisation with values consistent with those of Moore Stephens Australia
• Prioritising projects that aim to enhance and encourage self sufficiency
  within the chosen community
• Focusing efforts and support on projects such as those of a
  'micro finance' nature
• Ensuring staff are passionate about the chosen projects.
• Selecting projects that welcome and encourage practical involvement
  of staff and clients throughout Moore Stephens Australia

How will the foundation decide which groups/projects to support?

All applications are considered equal and will be judged based on the alignment of the project with the Foundation's stated key objectives.

The foundation seeks to support community based organisations that are working towards providing long term benefits within their chosen communities. The primary focus for the foundation is projects of a micro economic nature designed to increase self sufficiency. Finally projects must support and welcome practical staff involvement


How is the level of support determined?

Funding levels are flexible and will be determined based on the needs of the selected project(s).
