Professional Background

Selina Stanford heads the external audit division in Moore Stephens Canberra.

Selina has worked in the profession for over nineteen years in both business services and external audit. She also spent two years in the internal audit division of Westpac Banking Corporation.

Selina joined the firm in 1997 and became a partner in 2003. Her work is primarily external audit related with particular expertise in not-for-profit and commonwealth government entities. Her clients have included:

• National Museum of Australia
• Universities Australia Limited
• Lifeline Australia Limited
• YWCA of Canberra Limited

As well as her expertise in the provision of external audit services Selina has been involved with the preparation of statutory financial reports, the provision of technical accounting advice and internal control assessments.

Selina is also a member of the Catholic Education Commission Finance and Audit Committee.

Selina is married with two children. She loves gardening and snowboarding and often finds it hard to pry herself away from a good book.
