Professional Background

Tony is a Partner in the internal audit and risk management practice in Moore Stephens Canberra.

Tony is a specialist in public sector accounting and risk management, having focused his career working in and for the Australian Government. Tony has spent the majority of his career servicing the Australian Government through private sector firms including WalterTurnbull, Ascent and more recently, Moore Stephens. Tony founded the Financial Services Group within Ascent in early 2005, and has since assisted in the development of the internal audit and risk management practice in Moore Stephens Canberra. Tony has worked in most roles involved in financial management in the Australian Government, from his first position as a Collector of Public Monies, to a placement as the CFO of one of the largest entities in the Australian Government.

Tony has specific expertise in the fields of:

• Internal Audit;
• Risk Management;
• Fraud control;
• Financial Accounting and Budgeting; and
• the Financial Management and Accountability legislative environment.

Tony lives in the country with his wife and three young children. Work and parenthood commitments permitting, Tony's guilty pleasures include gardening, poultry and acoustic guitar.
