Professional Background

Gene joined Moore Stephens in November 2006 after immigrating to Brisbane from New Zealand. After 3 years with Moore Stephens Brisbane, Gene transferred to the Moore Stephens Gold Coast office.

He is a Principal in the Business Services team and Gene's key areas of expertise include NZ taxation compliance, business compliance, taxation planning, cashflow budgeting and modeling, periodic management accounting and reporting, financial strategy, management and financial advice and estate and succession planning.  He provides advice and assistance to clients to help them meet their current strategic business challenges and their compliance obligations.

Gene has extensive experience across a multitude of industries including retail, manufacturing, construction and development, medical, professional services, tourism and hospitality, growth entrepreneurial business, private enterprise and wealth investors.

He prides himself on this ability to think outside the square when offering service and advice to clients to assist them with the growth of their businesses. He understands the importance of helping them to achieve their lifestyle and personal goals.  Exceeding his clients' expectations is paramount to Gene's work ethic and drive.

Additionally, Gene ensures his technical skills are well advanced by reading financial & business newspapers, industry magazines and articles as well as attending regular formal training courses.
