Professional Background

Steve joined the Firm in January 2006 and is a Senior Manager within the Taxation Consulting Division.

Prior to joining the Firm, Steve spent time in consumer lending at a banking organisation and six years with the Australian Taxation Office as a field officer.

Steve's role with the ATO included reviewing audit decisions and methodologies prior to their issuance, whilst also ensuring current procedure and policies were applied to both local and nationwide compliance activities.

Steve specialises in audits in the areas of GST, FBT and PAYG and his time with the ATO has proven invaluable for a number of clients.  His inside knowledge allows him to anticipate the issues to be addressed during an audit, allowing such to be discussed and managed prior to the commencement of the ATO activities.
