Professional Background

Steve joined the Taxation Advisory Services Division in 1992 having worked on a number of large clients predominately in the funds/property management, publishing and educational fields.

His particular areas of expertise include indirect taxes, fringe benefit tax, sales tax, payroll tax and superannuation.

Steve authorised the "GST-Wize" product accountants with 'simple English' understanding and roadmap of the mechanics of the GST legislation. This product has been accepted by the ASCPA as their leading GST product.

In addition to his very strong technical knowledge of the GST law, Steve is in the process of assisting a number of listed organisations and industry bodies' implement the changes required by the introduction of the GST.

Steve regularly makes submissions to government bodies on behalf of practitioners in the areas of GST, Division 7A, Trust Losses and Superannuation issues.
