Professional Background
Greg is the Principal in the Innisfail office with over two decades of experience in Taxation and Business Services in the North Queensland region.
Greg began his career in 1988 as a trainee accountant with a small Townsville firm. After completing his degree, he joined Ernst & Young in Townsville and completed the Institutes Professional Year in 1996.
Whilst part of Ernst & Young, Greg was also involved with their consulting division in a change management engagement for the Queensland State Government, where a number of employees were made redundant, and Greg was key in managing this process.
In 2000, Pickards BDS, the firm Greg was working for, bought out an Innisfail practice. Greg was the logical choice to head this office due to his commitment and exemplary work manner. In 2005, Greg's achievements were recognised and he became a partner of the firm.
In 2010, Greg oversees the two Far North Queensland offices of Moore Stephens Queensland. Since the Goods and Services Tax was first put forward, Greg has undertaken extensive research into the operation of the new tax and has been responsible for the training of our professional staff. Greg also developed a number of training papers on the Goods and Services Tax and developed client seminars. These were conducted throughout North Queensland.
Greg is also the chairman of our Learning and Development Committee and is responsible for arranging and preparing training for staff to ensure that professional development is maintained. Greg's success rests in his ability to talk to clients at all levels, and to explain clearly, in terms that they understand, what the issues are that affect them. Greg ensures all his clients' needs are not only met but exceeded.
