About Us

Moore Stephens Perth began as Packham Tavani in 1977 as a traditional provider of Tax & Business Services to small to medium sized businesses. The enthusiasm and drive of the young principals provided the spark for the firm to establish and become well recognised in the local business community.

As the business environment changed and the framework in which businesses operate became more complex the firm and our clients have had to adapt to those changes. We are well able to help ensure that they understand and comply with all of the relevant requirements.

The firm grew and matured and our client base has changed so that we now service many larger clients including a number of listed public companies.

To assist with those changes we have added to our service offerings to become a full service professional practice. We provide a full range of services including a well renowned Audit & Assurance division and a Corporate Recovery/Insolvency division while developing and refining our traditional service areas. We prepare a number of business valuations; provide independent experts reports and assist with legal disputes in providing litigation support and due diligence services. We also have an interest in a Financial Planning business through which we can assist with investment advice and wealth management.

We provide professional, personalised service to our clients and as many have been clients of the firm since it began we pride ourselves in knowing them and knowing their business.

To provide excellent service to our clients we need excellent staff that understand and operate with the values of the firm. We work with them to provide them with formal and informal training and to support them through their formal accounting qualifications. Our relationship with the professional accounting bodies is strong with several senior staff having taken on roles as facilitators or trainers or having served on various committees of those associations.

We have a strong informal alumni group of former staff who are in regular contact with us. The training and development that they have received in their time with us has clearly stood them in good stead to obtain excellent roles when they have left. We regularly compete in various industry run sporting events and have an active social club that organises a number of events throughout the year.
