Moore Stephens Australia announces highest number of newly-appointed Directors in the networks’ history

Mid-tier accounting and advisory network Moore Stephens Australia today announced a network record with the appointment of 12 new Directors, plus a new Managing Partner, effective July 1 2018.

The changes signify significant growth in the Moore Stephens Australia network over the last 12 months and bring diverse sector experience to the network’s Business Advisory, Audit, and Corporate Advisory disciplines.

Moore Stephens New South Wales has strengthened its Sydney CBD Business Advisory Services by appointing two new Directors - Mark Channell, through the acquisition of his boutique North Sydney accounting practice, and James Dolahenty who joins the firm after a significant tenure at a niche CBD firm.

The South Australia firm has expanded its offering with the appointment of two new Directors through a merger with boutique Adelaide accounting and advisory firm Pike and Franks.

In a significant change within the Western Australia firm, David Tomasi, current Audit and Advisory Partner, has been elevated to Managing Partner. Mr. Tomasi replaces long-standing CEO Michael Bennett.

Moore Stephens Australia CEO Peter Antonius said, “The first half of 2018 has been a momentous year for Moore Stephens Australia, and this announcement is a testament to the continued investment we have made into growing and expanding our footprint nationally. Our newest Directors are leaders in their respective fields and will be integral to our continued delivery of successful outcomes for our clients as they navigate the changing business environment.”

Earlier this year, Moore Stephens Victoria also expanded its service offering with the addition of Stuart Whitehead, Director - Corporate Advisory.

These latest appointments follow the welcome addition of a new member firm, announced in April this year. Formed from the merger of Central Queensland’s Powers Financial Group and South-East Queensland/Northern New South Wales firm DKM Group, Moore Stephens Queensland & Northern New South Wales re-establishes the Australian network’s presence in Queensland, with the new entity well positioned to take advantage of anticipated growth across the state and into Northern New South Wales.

Welcome to our new Directors and new Managing Partner as of July 1:
